Gretchen paints the Cowboy Life and the South Western Landscapes of Utah, Arizona and Nevada. The Paintings are created on both canvas and board with Acrylic Paints.
Gretchen Studied with Doug Lee of the House of Fine Art in Heber, Utah. She has lived the ranch life raising both cattle and horses. She has a substantial background in the Cowboy life and the ways of horses and cattle gained from hours riding and gathering cattle.
Gretchen has won awards at the Las Vegas Museum of Art. She has collectors of her Western Art in Las Vegas, Nevada and in Reno, Nevada.
Gretchen conveys to the action of the cattle and horseback riders, the smell of hot dust amid the sweeping vistas of the Western Desert and Mountains. She always wants to tell the story of the Cowboy doing his daily work.
