Erik Holland
One of Reno’s favorite local artist, Eric Holland depicts winter scenes from the various towns in Reno. Holland is a painter, cartoonist and teacher. He has had a one man show every year since 2000 in the Reno area. His specialties as a painter include landscape, old buildings and the occasional portrait.. Holland has won many awards with his painting, including a Professional Artists grant from Sierra Arts, and a First Place in oils from the Nevada Artist’s Association. He teaches art at Rainshadow High School and with Sierra Arts and Very Special Arts as well. He studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, The Art Students League of New York and the San Francisco Academy of Art.
