Peter has been painting for the last 14 years. In 2002 he opened the Zimmerman Gallery in Reno on Vesta St. next door to the Rapscallion. His gallery showed contemporary art and featured both local and regional artists. In 2004, Peter closed the gallery. Since then, he has pursued his own art. He has been influenced by the work of the Abstract Impressionists Mark Rothko, Clyfford Still and Barnett Newman.
With his art, wants to convey to the viewer a tactile reflex to reach in and touch every line, pattern, image and indentation.
